Joana is journalist for the Associated Press news agency in Lisbon and collaborates with Vision in projects of the Europe area. She has a degree in Journalism from the Catholic University of Portugal and a masters in International Journalism from the City University in London. She is a British Council Chevening Scholar. She has previously worked for Diario Digital online newspaper as a journalist and later as an editor, and then moved on to Diario Economico where she worked for the culture section. In London she interned at The Observer newspaper and iniciated a collaboration, which she still maintains, with the music website Soundgenerator.com. From London she also continued collaborating with Diario Economico and did some work for the Portuguese news agency Lusa.With a true passion for all things music she wrote her end of masters thesis on Pop Music Hit Making, exploring the backstage world of "bubble gum" pop. She is truly obsessed about music, holds an extensive record collection and is lead singer in a band. She also has a true passion for cooking and food - she loves having friends over for dinner - cinema, reading and dancing. Her favourite way to relax is belting out a song really loudly when no one is home.
