Maria La Porta
Consultant, currently she is about to graduate in Political Sciences at University of Roma 3. Her thesis focused on women rights as human rights.
Recently she has collaborated whit the Department for Development and Cohesion Policies of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development as junior consultant in some projects around the subjects of local development, territorial marketing, research and competitiveness, information society, attracting foreign investments, energy, environment, governance of structural funds.
From 2003 to 2005 she has teached evaluation of european projects around the subjects of energy and environment as assistant professor at University La Sapienza in association with CIRPS - Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca per lo Sviluppo sostenibile and she has worked as junior researcher in european projects about equal opportunities, violence against women and training.
She is interested in gender and development policies. She enjoys working in volunteer associations for women rights, reading, travelling, running and take care of her pets (one great dane and two cats). |
